DOT.TUNES : For The Professional Music Lover
TESTIMONIALS

I'm one of the hardest working artists you might not know about (yet... go get a late pass). Cuz I'm grinding so hard in and out of the studio, i barely have the chance to promote myself. DOT.TUNES enables the my agents to place my compositions and land gigs. Plus, because of the ill network of producers and musicians who use DOT.TUNES, i can stay freshly dipped in the latest sounds. From the darkest corners of the map, i can keep my pen moving cuz of DOT.TUNES.

Check me on DJ Spinna's latest album.

Like many people, I have accounts on Myspace, FaceBook, and YouTube. Not only is the player on Myspace annoying and slow to upload, it only lets me upload 4 songs! Facebook doesn't even have a player. With DOT.TUNES I can post a more flexible player @ Myspace and put one into facebook and, when I change the corresponding playlist, both sites players are immediately updated. Now changing my music as often as I want is easier than ever.

With DOT.TUNES I can:

Keep my user profile on all my blog sites synchronized. I make a change in one place, and they're all updated automatically.

Play more than the 4 song Myspace limit.

Feature music from my band as soon as we record it

When my clients ask me to submit music for a project, DOT.TUNES is my answer. Record labels, advertising firms and Production Houses frequently request submisssions within impossible time frames. DOT.TUNES allows me to give them easy access to tracks
as well as perform quick updates in response to their requests. It makes the process of submitting music seamless.
What I really like about DOT.TUNES though. . . is that I can play DJ at my friend's houses from my personal ITunes library. I get to share new music that I am excited about and enjoy it with my friends.

I use DOT.TUNES to quickly share ideas and music parts with other musicians that I'm creating with. Before DOT.TUNES, getting a file to one of my collaborators meant multiple failed attempts and broken transfers over IM (arrgh!), trying to get through to YouSendIt! or uploading to RapidShare which is not rapid and puts MY precious music in the hands of some mysterious 3rd party. Now I just setup SECURE accounts on MY OWN MACHINE and give my fellow musicians access to specifically what I need them to have. Now I SHARE DOT.TUNES with my music buddies so they can get music to me as easily as I get i to them. Go get a late pass.

As an artist, I'm always making songs and working on ideas at home. Sometimes, it's harder for me to get a half-finished song to a producer than it is to come up with an idea. With everyone being on different IM protocols, firewalls and whatnot, I often find myself running around trying to get music to the right people. Sometimes, I wind up mailing a CD, which can take an extra 2 or 3 days.
And then, there are times when I find myself in a studio with the right people, but I don't have the idea I was working on the night before with me. In those cases, I spend time trying to recreate the melodies and lyrics, which hardly ever come out as good as I had previously laid them down.
But since I got DOT.TUNES, I've been able to collaborate with more people, more easily and more quickly than before.

DOT.TUNES allows me to:

Promote my talent and demonstrate my work with easy web publishing of my new music as soon as I make it.

Collaborate with producers and other artists in real time, even those in other countries.

Get instant feedback on ideas while I'm still ''in the zone.''

I am constantly searching for new, original and inspiring music to play when I am instructing yoga. Music is a very important ingredient in my teaching style. I like to change up the vibes and genre of music to match the mood of the moment. Since I have been using DOT. TUNES, I have acquired wonderful compositions from producers and friends to play during class. Students have asked me "What was that song?" or "What is that compilation?" Now I can actually spread the love by sharing my selections with my students and other teachers, while promoting original artists. It also allows me to play the tunes I am currently feeling on my yoga website, instead of the site playing the same old song at every login. DOT.TUNES allows me to stay present...keeping it fresh.

I'm an organic lady... i HARLDY use my computer. In fact, it took whole lot of convicing for me to transfer my music over the web. I'd call begging my producer buddie for tracks on CD and they just laughed at me. Then they hipped me to DOT.TUNES and I'm laying joints down like this one. My man Mark hit me with this track online, i wrote to it and dropped the vocals in Philly. We shared the finished jam with him with DOT.TUNES. This opens up a whole chamber of possibilties to go with all the lyrics and melodies in my head.

I use DOT.TUNES all day, every day. From wherever i am, I hit my virtual vinyl collection to find samples for new productions. NEVER BEFORE have I felt such creative freedom. When my clients call looking for new tracks, i can be on the street, log into my DOT.TUNES from my Treo, choose some appropriate submissions for the project and make the playlist available to my client IMMEDIATELY. WOW. DOT.TUNES is like Beats On Demand and its chaging my creativity and business for the better.

I stay on the progressive edge of creative business. As a working musician, it's important for me to leverage new tools that give me power without a whole lot of upfront or tail expenses. With DOT.TUNES, i can distribute my new compositions to my fans at olumusic.com and MySpace with easy and speed. I can also provide entertainment executives interested in licensing my music with a full array of tunes relevant to their project. DT is what's up.

I had a remix gig and was teaming up with my buddy across the city. I'm in BK, he's uptown in Harlem... for 4 days i tried EVERYTHNG to get him an a capella so he could work on the remx. Finally he intervened and showed me how easy it was to share music with DOT.TUNES... i wouldn't think of doing it another way at this point

DOT.TUNES has been a blessing for me as a dj and a music lover. With DOT.TUNES, and an internet connection, I never have to worry about not having a particular song from my arsenal when I'm spinning out. As a music lover, I can always tap into the collection to listen to wherever I am.
DOT.TUNES also allows for secure, stable access to music for the other DJ's in my collective (RevolutionEYZ DJ Network). DOT.TUNES allows us to back up all of our music in one centrally maintained and secured location. This not only enables us to travel and work without carrying large storage devices, but it also provides a stable back up for all of our collections. Nothing worse to see than a DJ who has just lost his/her whole digital music stash. And when one's stash does decide to call it quits, we don't have to go too far...or anywhere...to retrieve what we've lost.
The DJ's thank you DOT.TUNES creators.

I don't know much about computers. I just used an iPod for the first time this year. But, as an up and coming artist, I've got to use any means necessary to get noticed by industry professionals and develop my fanbase. My producers, The RattPakk, put me on to DOT.TUNES and now i have the easiest, most-powerful tool to build my network. VISIT THE RATT PAKK

What makes Tillmans so special is the insane collection of digital music that powers the sounds in the club. Handpicked tunes from 60's and 70's Soul to Afrobeat. Jazz to Afro Cuban, Brazillian Bossa to Uptown 90's Hip-Hop grace the hard drives deep in the heart of Tillmans. Building such a sick collection required knowing all the right DJ's but, most importantly it required a way to store and organize the music in way that could be shared with everybody working to build the venue. After a year of development, Tillmans is here... Thanks DOT.TUNES for helping to make it possible.

Come join us at Tillmans and try your hand at DJing the immense soul archives.

As a producer and artist hailing from the UK, I needed an effective way to maintain my creative relationships with other musicians and producers worldwide. MySpace is alright for chit-chat and catchups, but when it comes to actually working, it's all about DOT.TUNES. There's no easier way to share my work-in-progress with other creative folks and to get my finished pieces directly to my fans. In fact, this song "Dr. Phil" from my band 'Illiyun' is being shared with you right now through DOT.TUNES.

I'm lovin' DOT.TUNES so far. As a crate-digger/sampling producer, I'm very much attached to my music stash. For me, the creative process starts by browsing my sample sources. DOT.TUNES frees me up to work remotely (from Philadelphia, Jamaica…wherever) and still access any sound source in my main iTunes sound library, with ease, from any browser. I don't necessarily have to worry about whether I have all my songs and sound files with me when I travel. DOT.TUNES simplifies my workflow and makes me more comfortable working away from my home studio. I can also audition anything in my crew's stash and download only what I choose. Most importantly, I can set up my own playlists to share with whomever, whenever. For example, my manager has instant access to any music I create; no matter where he is, he can login and find my latest tracks.

I'm a vinyl enthusiast at heart and I spin wax from my soul & afrobeat 45 collection heavily, but I don't want my most prized assets to depreciate or worse, due to abuse.

So, as much as I resisted going digital, the wear that I am started to notice in my collection concerned me so much that 3 years ago I began preserving my record collection through digitization. Now my digital archive rivals the size of my physical collection. But, with tens of thousands of songs in my digital archive, I can no longer fit my collection on my 60GB iPod or my 100GB internal laptop drive. And, like every DJ who's ever spun a club, I've had those moments while spinning where I'm like, ''I wish I had that record with me!!!''

With DOT.TUNES I finally have access to ALL MY RECORDS from ANYWHERE I am spinning that has a network connection. THIS IS SICK. My full digital music collection sits on a 1TB drive at my studio connected to my desktop and DOT.TUNES does the rest.

DOT.TUNES protects me from:

My precious vinyl being damaged or stolen while I am traveling internationally (like I when I got ripped for a case of classics on my way to Japan).

Scratches and other wear and tear on my rare vinyl assets which would decrease their value.
The increasing costs of trouble of storing and shipping my vinyl where from where I live to where I work.
For only 15 bucks? Did I say that this is sick?

One day I was wondering if I could share my whole iTunes Library over the net. Then I googled it and found DT. Now Dot Tunes is a key tool so I can share not 4 but hundreds of my own original music on MySpace page. It's the icing on the cake. Be sure to check some genuine Rock N' Roll music and see all the info on Ghost Town Rd.'s new release "On The Couch Tour" at MySpace

Just the other day, my manager hit me on my Sidekick asking me to attend an impromptu meeting to submit tracks for DMX. As luck would have it, I wasn't at my studio at the time and had lost the keys to my crib. It's a good thing one of my production partners was running DOT.TUNES. I logged on from a computer during the meeting and downloaded some of my latest heat as well as some of the tracks that I had done for 50 Cent, G-Unit, Ludacris, and Nappy Roots.

Because of DOT.TUNES, I can now:

- Give my clients secure access to my tracks.
- Access my tracks WHEREVER and WHENEVER I have the opportunity to sell them.
- Increase my sales.

If I'm working on a feature article, Dot.Tunes is invaluable for a number of reasons: Not only does it allow me to access my voice memos and recorded interviews from anywhere (so I don't need to fill my iPod with work), but once I've turned in my copy, I can allow my editors and their fact checkers access to my recorded research, instead of having to transcribe hours of dialogue.

I am a bass player and producer. Gigging currently with the Family Stand has me all over the world but I keep my beat bread right with DOT.TUNES. I use DOT.TUNES to publish new tracks from wherever I create them back to my home-team, THE MARKSMEN GUERRILLA PRODUCTION NETWORK. THE MARKSMEN run a DOT.TUNES server which is subscribed to a 'New Tracks from Lez' playlist as a podcast. Automatically, without having to make phone calls or coordinate, my tracks are synchronized to THE MARKSMEN iTunes. When calls come into headquarters for new beats, all my heat is sitting right there for the Network's Agents to submit. I been making paper without being involved in the deal... i can just focus on making good music and with DOT.TUNES, I'm making GOOD MONEY!
